Simplified Conquest mode, built for the field
The Conquest Terminal works on the same principle as the MAG Case's Conquest mode: each team has a counter that counts down while it holds the point. The first team to empty its counter locks the objective and wins — the LEDs switch to a steady colour and the terminal can no longer be retaken.
The terminal has fewer settings than the case, which makes it quick to configure and immediately ready on the field.
Available settings
Number of teams
The organiser chooses between 2 teams (blue/red) or 3 teams (blue/red/green).
Team time
This is not an overall game time, but a time per team. Four preset values:
Example with 15 min: the game can last between 15 and 29 minutes. One team may hold the point for 14 minutes while the other empties its counter at 15 minutes — which locks the objective.
Capture time — light cycles
Capture time is not set in seconds but in light cycles. Four values available:
One light cycle is roughly one second at the start of the game. But here is the key mechanic: the more a team empties its counter, the faster its cycles become. As a result, when a team is about to lock the objective for good, its lights blink very fast, which makes capturing it much easier for the opponents than in the first minutes of play, when the cycles are slow.
This creates a natural rebalancing: the more a team dominates, the easier it is to take the point back from it.
Second mode: DMZ
Besides Conquest mode, the terminal carries a DMZ mode that turns it into a terminal to hack, for games played by independent squads. You switch it on by holding the central button while inserting the batteries — the LEDs flash quickly in green and red — and it needs no settings at all.
An available terminal flashes green. Hacking requires holding the button for 20 to 40 seconds, drawn at random every time: there is no anticipating it. Progress is kept when the player lets go — a squad wiped out halfway leaves the job started, and the next one picks up where it stopped. The green speeds up as the hack advances, from 1 to 4 flashes per cycle: walking up to a terminal, you see at once whether it is untouched or nearly down.
Once hacked, the terminal flickers red and stays locked for 5 to 15 minutes before becoming available again, with a new hacking time.
Recommended setup: 4 to 6 terminals in DMZ mode for the points to hack, and 1 or 2 NEXUS units in Extraction mode to mark the extraction zones.
Versions and upgrade
To tell which one you have, hold the central button while inserting the batteries:
- Green and red flashing — the terminal has DMZ mode.
- Purple flashing — earlier generation, fixed-duration mode: a single counter shared by both teams, and the win goes to whoever held the point longest. No DMZ mode.
Among terminals with DMZ mode, those sold from October 2026 keep the hacking progress when the button is released and make the green speed up. On terminals sold before that, the counter went back to zero on every release and the green kept a steady rhythm.
Terminals already in service can be upgraded, in our workshop and for a fee. Get in touch and tell us how many are involved.
